Psychological Trap

Knowingly or unknowingly, we all fall under some or the other psychological trap.

The psychological traps can be categorised as below.

  • Emotional trap
  • Social trap
  • Religious trap
  • Caste trap
  • Political trap
  • etc.

When we are born, we get connected with mother emotionally, then with father, grand mother, grand father, and relatives. Here, the Emotional trap begins.

After few days, we start get imposed about an imaginary object called God, followed by beliefs, temples, and festivals. Here, the Religious trap begins.

Once we are joined in schools, we start interacting with new friends, teachers, and society. Here, the Social trap begins.

With the time, we get to know about different castes, religions, languages, and nations. We get taught “Our own nation/language/religion/caste is great” by giving convincing examples. We start believing that whatever, our ancestors are following, are great, which indirectly says that the others are not great. Slowly, these beliefs gets strengthened, which may sometimes lead to build hatred towards others’ beliefs.

Now, let’s come to politics. For every election, political discussions around lead to understand about politics, and political parties. We are told that some political party is good for some reason, then we start following the political party.

Then, let’s discuss about sexual attractions. With the age, sexual harmones starts stimulating, then we start getting attracted to opposite sex and may build a strong relation with a person.  It’s an another emotional trap.

I don’t say Falling in a Trap is Bad. But, when we choose some path, we should be:

  • Intellectual
  • Rational
  • Practical
  • Conditional
  • Flexible

Finally, I want to conclude this saying:

Do not fall under any trap so blindly. And be flexible to come out of a trap and choose an another path based on your wish and understanding.
